Rick Baker Gets Walk of Fame Star

November 20, 2012

Well this is great news I got via the Stan Winston School of Character Arts‘ page on Facebook: FX-wizard Rick Baker will receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! And it’s about time if you ask me. He’s been Oscar nominated for his (amazing) work on An American Werewolf in London, Tim Burton‘s great Ed Wood and Men in Black among others (he’s won seven) and is a true master special effects. Congratulations!

– I’ll be Bach!
Embarrassed silence. A muted cough in the distance. Some drunken buffoon hollers ‘get off the stage’.

Again, got this via the Stan Winston School of Character Arts page on Facebook. Is this taken from Terminator or Terminator 2 – Judgment Day btw? I really can’t tell.

Well, I was hepped to this via the Stan Winston School of Character Arts page on Facebook (check it out here) and this is pretty cool:  over 40 re-imaginations of Boba Fett and Clone Trooper helmets by Legacy Effects! Created specifically for the Make-A-Wish Foundation they’re being auctioned off on eBay right now with all proceeds going to charity – so it not only looks great but is for a great cause too! There’s some amazing pieces of art here so check ’em out.
