Round ’em Up!

Well, that was a quick week! Jeez, I’m guessing ol’ Einstein* was right after all. Anyhoo, another productive week, or make that “semi-productive” (I’ll get into that), and here’s what’s new in Camp Sellergren:

The image at the top is my finished ad for the upcoming issues of Loud Comix, a collection of comics written by punk rock heroes and illustrated by Jamie Vayda. There’s tons of cool stuff to come (the first edition features stories written by Sonny Harlan, Alan King, Frankie Nowhere and Erika Lane), and yours truly is doing the sleeve for the second issue out in November. Distributed by Birdcage Bottom Books you can get your copy here. Find Jamie on Facebook here.

Things have been real slow over at Society 6. My God Save the Queen art print sure got some attention, but other than that I haven’t had time to produce much at all (again, I’ll get into that). I got around to add some sticker designs over at Red Bubble (some turned out real neat like Lysergic Saucer-Man), so check them out here. My official Facebook page broke the 1,000 followers limit these past few days (yay!), and cool artists I found on S6 are Olive Primo Design + Illustration, Jazzberry Blue, and Hillary White producing more awesomeness with her Sir C.H.U.D. portrait. Check them all out!

Speaking of art, you gotta go check out Jason Edmiston‘s stuff! This guy is just amazing. Mainly focusing on horror-themed art, he also got some cool music-related stuff like this mutant Joey Ramone portrait that is just gorgeous. On average, prices range from $40 up to $85 (a bargain considering the quality of his work!) so check him out and show some love.

In the cool t-shirt department, Madman Marz announced on the official Facebook page that they’re kicking off their Halloween holiday sale deducting $10 off their prices, starting October 1st. More info here.

Music-wise I’ve been busy working on Call Me Greenhorn‘s Cutthroats at Midnight EP. This track made a bit of a stir and I was pleasantly surprised seeing Gorilla Film Magazine once again plugging it along with Robert Boud‘s video for Armageddon Dub! Things came to a halt though since Sweden decided to introduce “Blitzkrieg Winter”, having the temperature make a staggering drop from an average of +15 degrees to zero (make that 59 – 32 F) in one day and the next thing you know I’m sick as a dog and blowing earth tone rainbows into tissues. Got four songs finished though and I’ll get right back to it as soon as I feel better.

Have a great weekend!

*Einstein calculated that the closer an object travels at the speed of light, the slower time passes. This applies, of course, the other way ’round as well. And with the universe being a result of Big Bang – a humongous explosion we’re still in the middle of! – that’s slowly losing its momentum, we actually are experiencing time speeding up.
