Videogram!

July 11, 2014

Doc Terror just kicked the Italian Horror Week in gear which means that today sees the release of Videogram‘s first album. Featuring sixteen tracks, this self-titled effort draws inspiration from all sorts of genre sounds created in the 1980s.

In a review-slash-interview just posted on the official site, Doc sums it up “This was something new. Something special. Videogram was born from the souls and corpses of Italian schlock as well as exploitation and horror cinema of the 1970’s and 80’s. With strong John Carpenter sensibilities and layered simplicity that evolves into an aggregated fire storm of sound, this is an album to check out.”

There are physical formats in the works, but $7 gets you the full album/VHS experience via Bandcamp. The album is also available on Amazon, Spotify, Deezer and eMusic, with iTunes coming later on. One more teaser has been posted on my SoundCloud. Check it out.
