2077: Raiders of the Apocalypse

Here we go: Yesterday saw the “unveiling” of the cover art for the coming Videogram mix. Created by Bulgarian artist Mike Daskalov, it’s kinda reminiscent of Vestron Video‘s logo complete with the blurriness that came with VHS. The feedback has been great so far and James that runs the Italian Horror Week was thrilled to see it.

More unleashed VHS-influenced goodies is the track 2077: Raiders of the Apocalypse. Inspired by the post-apocalyptic genre movies of the 1980s – Equalizer 3000, Battletruck and Endgame just to mention a few – I’m pretty satisfied with how this one came out. Nice, dirge-y backbeat with some pretty cool synth sounds. Check it out on SoundCloud.

EDIT: In order to make things less confusing, I made the decision that future horror OST-influenced material will be released under the Videogram moniker ’cause, frankly, Call Me Greenhorn is just too damn weird a name and doesn’t really fit. Got a Facebook page up and running and I keep adding Bandcamp page etc. in the near future. Check it out here.
