Take a break, put your feet up for a short while and just marvel at some of the beautiful imagery served up in Francesco Mugnai‘s 30+ of the most beautiful abandoned places and modern ruins i’ve ever seen. A gorgeous collection of photos from all over the world, it offers pretty much everything from churches and factories to abandoned amusement parks. Most of them telling their own story when it comes to modern, 20th century history – especially the ones taken from the former Eastern Block.

I found these very peaceful and – oddly enough – kinda sad, as they all used to be places buzzing with human activity. The photo above is taken from a railroad in France. C’est parfait! Check it out here.
