Well, as the Cap’n made it official on his page on Facebook I might as well share it with you guys: A screen shot of an upcoming series of Captain Catastrophy merchandise to be released later this year. This is one out of a couple of poster designs I’m working on, but we’re also talking stickers and t-shirts. We’re going big, baby!

There’s more to come and I’ll make sure to give a head’s-up when everything’s available, but in the mean time make sure you join him here and how about joining me there as well? You’ll find my page here.

UPDATE: Well, one of the other designs has been made official on his Facebook page, so I guess it’s cool to share it here as well: This is another poster design, heavy on the Tales From the Crypt influence. This and plenty more babies will be printed and available for sale just in time for Halloween, so make sure you join the Cap’n on his official page for more news.

Well, apologies for completely missing out on posting these, as the CD itself was released a couple of weeks ago: Check out the spiffin’ artwork I made for Dead By Mono‘s third installment in their No Way Out! compilation series. Completely going for a Tales From the Crypt vibe, I also went with threes as the theme while completely nerding out showing off my “trash culture” influences.

Like I wrote yesterday, this also features The Norliss Tapes making their physical debut with A Trip To the Moon and you can buy your copy of the CD here and download the digital EP via our Bandcamp here. On to the art!

The CD booklet folds out into a full-color poster.

Turn it around and you get all the bios and band pics.

Hot Off the Press!

February 28, 2013
Records! Records! Records!

Records! Records! Records!

Well, here we go: UK label Dead By Mono Records just posted a lil’ teaser photo of the newly-printed sleeve for the No Way Out! Vol. 3 compilation CD on Facebook, giving you a slight inkling of what the fold-out looks like. Again, it’s heavy on the Tales From the Crypt vibe – like, how can you not like that groundbreaking comic? – and I think I can reveal that the main theme is threes. But I’m guessing that’s about as much as I can share right now.

There’s twenty bands in total on the compilation, including The Norliss Tapes making their physical debut with A Trip To the Moon. More info can be found on the label’s Facebook event here and the official website here. Out soon!

Well, as it has been made official by UK label Dead By Mono on Facebook, I thought I’d share the front panel of the upcoming No Way Out! compilation CD I made back in 2012. Heavy on the Tales From the Crypt influence, I tried to make it look like a pulpy old comic book and the fold-out is pretty damn cool and features some (now) classic boogeymen and women – but I’ll await the release in March before I post any more from that. Oh, and to top it off it marks the physical debut of The Norliss TapesTrip To the Moon off the EP with the same name.

Join ‘em here for more info about release date and pre-orders, and please share!

(Horrific) Sounds of X-Mas

December 7, 2012

Well, as both a horror fan and total music nerd, what could be more fitting for today’s X-Mas tune than The Cryptkeeper‘s We Wish You’d Bury the Missus? Anyone remember the cult classic Tales From the Crypt tv-series where this little fella delivered tasty puns in between some pretty cool episodes? Well, I was a big fan back then, and even though it never aired over here me and a friend collected bootleg seasonal tapes on VHS, so we followed it – albeit a bit delayed.

I recently picked up a season DVD, and even though some of the fashions haven’t aged too well (to say the least!) it was still quite enjoyable and nice in a nostalgic kinda way.
